Omar Velazquez is a manager, software engineering and Cloud services for Semtech’s Wireless and Sensing Products Group. In this role, he is responsible for consolidating Semtech’s DevSecOps practices for Internet of Things (IoT) Cloud-based projects, implementing a high level of security for the LoRa Cloud™, and the development of LoRa Cloud native solutions. He is also responsible for implementing practices and processes aligned to high quality standards, such as ISO9001. Mr. Velazquez maintains 23 years of experience working with open-source systems, specializing in big data and business intelligence in addition to working in the development of Cloud and DevOps solutions.

Omar holds a master’s degree in artificial intelligence from the International University of La Rioja in Logroño, Spain.
